Minutes of the Presidents Meeting in Rennes
We met at PSYNAPSE in Rennes, 31 Aug. - 1 Sept. 2024. This meeting was a milestone in the development of our associations.
For me, the highlight of our meeting was the final hour when the energy, enthusiasm, and joy reached its peak in the room. We all spontaneously stood up and stayed standing for a whole hour together in a circle, sharing our key takeaways and plans for the future.
We are all very grateful to Virginie and Philippe from PSYNAPSE for organizing this groundbreaking meeting. They were terrific hosts.
Our Key Decisions
The Zoom meeting for our 300+ Master Trainers is on 13 Nov. at 3 pm CET.
The meeting in Rennes was an incredible enrichment for so many reasons.
It was wonderful to meet so many amazing presidents and colleagues in Rennes and learn about their seminars and projects.
It was a very open exchange among people who care deeply about NLP and its dissemination for the good of humanity. Beyond the program, there were many opportunities to connect and get to know each other. I had many lovely conversations and learned more about how NLP is trained and shared in other countries.
Philippe and Virginie were wonderful hosts. Everything at Psynapse’s seminar center was arranged for our well-being. It was exciting to see how similar our approaches and ideas are regarding our online platforms. There was also a pleasant exchange with the Psynapse team.
Bento gave a detailed presentation on his work in Brazil. It was eye-opening to see how he engages people in NLP through his seminars and manages to positively influence family members as well, emotionally integrating them into the process.
Brian provided musical entertainment with songs he presented as part of his doctoral work. He shared his valuable work with us. Although I don’t know when I’ll make it to Japan, the idea of visiting him and Sarah there fascinates me and would fulfill a longtime dream of mine.
I had been looking forward to seeing Bruce to immerse myself in his English and learn more about NLP research. I enjoyed listening to him and having conversations with him. It was a great honor to drive him to the seminar center at on day. In the end, he even offered to let us call him anytime to practice English. Wonderful!
When I first started learning NLP, Yvonne was my great hero. I had seen her early advertisements and thought, “One day, I’ll be a great trainer just like her.” It was all the more special to spend time with her in Rennes, laughing and discussing things together.
I could go on endlessly describing my encounters with the unique people who make up this organization. Above all, I take with me the feeling that we are a community of brilliant minds, bringing NLP into the world. My personal inspiration is to look beyond the German-speaking world and see what NLP can achieve globally.
My self-appointed task is to create a treasure chest of NLP gifts. For this, I am reaching out to all master trainers to ask if they have something we can add to this treasure chest. In this way, I hope to create an attractive incentive to join our community.

It was great to reconnect with familiar faces from past World Congresses and see the WeEvolve concept take shape.
After arriving jetlagged from Japan, the energy of the Rennes meeting quickly revived me.
A key development was the creation of a social media management subgroup, signaling WeEvolve's transition from idea to action.
I was also proud of the commitment to publish two more volumes of Evolving Education in the next year, reaching thousands of teachers through our books: "Tools for Educators"
On a personal note, this meeting was special because it marked the culmination of six years of research into "Magic Moments" — those instances
when we feel truly alive. Presenting my PhD findings and learning I had passed UCN's requirements was a highlight.
More importantly, it was rewarding to see how the concept resonated with coaches and trainers,
as helping others feel more alive is at the heart of our work.
I left Rennes feeling energized and inspired to share my research through books and workshops. Meetings like these,
and future World Congresses, are vital for sharing ideas and advancing our field.

I was honoured and happy to be a part of the meeting in Rennes.
Among the many important topics and points of interest that came up over the two days, there were two things that strongly resonated with me:
Rennes was so much fun.
Psynapse and their team were such wonderful hosts and we were all made to feel so welcome and loved.
My main reason for attending was to pay Yvonne back for "standing her up" in Innsbruck, because I was obsessed with presenting at a philosophy of science conference and had forgotten we were meant to be meeting for lunch.
But seriously the meeting was to discover how we could work together as a collective to help people evolve in a way that can showcase the best of humanity.
My take-away was how different we are as humans, thus when we meet it is so important to listen and really understand what other people are saying. Some people move at a fast pace, others at a slower pace, and there are a host of other variables too which can be different.
I move at a slower pace and enjoy the academic side as well as working one to one with people. I am looking forward to working within IN & ICI. To conduct basic NLP courses in 2025 and build a UK IN & ICI community. I am hoping that I will be able to use these courses as a foundation to train people in the 7Cs model which is a psychology model, however has much in common with many of the practices within NLP. Hopefully too the 2025 NLP courses will be sufficiently attractive that they will allow me to run a 3rd NLP course and begin to build a UK community of IN accredited NLP practitioners.
Not only did I manage to get some runs in, ( a beautiful way of exploring the city), but I also got a free psychotherapy session with Alicja. She suggested I was quite intelligent, had a wicked sense of humour, but was a deeply conflicted soul. 😍
A wonderful 4 days and thank you to Karl and Nandana, and Philippe and Virginie and their staff in particular. ❤️
